Reservation Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

The following terms and conditions sets forth below apply to anyone (“You” or “User”) who is making a booking through the Philadelphia International Airport’s (the “Airport”) Online Booking System with the purpose to park in one of the Airport’s owned or operated parking facilities or both (“Facility”). When you are booking a reservation, you are acknowledging and accepting these Terms and Conditions.

2. Changes to Terms & Conditions

The Airport reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time without notice. Any amendments to the Terms and Conditions will be published at our website, https://www.phl.org/. Please ensure that you have check and review the Terms and Conditions at the time of booking and prior to entering into an Airport facility.

3. Entering and Existing an Airport Facility

You must and understand:

 

  • (a) Collect and retain the parking ticket issued upon entry to the Facility.
  • (b) If you entered the Facility by presenting a valid QR Code (Quick Response Code) that is generated by the Online Booking System and accepted by an verifier device, ensure that the same QR code is made available at the time your vehicle exits the Facility.
  • (c) If you entered the Facility by presenting a license plate or credit card, ensure that the same license plate or credit card is made available at the time your vehicle exits the Facility.
  • (d) Pay the applicable fee for your use of the Facility prior to or at the time of exit. Facility parking fees are calculated on an hourly basis (online products may be daily) from the time of entry.
  • (e) A valid QR code is accepted by an exit verifier device.
  • (f) A valid parking ticket is accepted by an exit verifier device and the applicable fee is paid;
  • (g) A valid Airport parking credential is accepted by an exit verifier device;
  • (h) A valid parking ticket is accepted by an automated payment machine, or an exit verifier device together with an accepted and valid credit card;
  • (i) If you have entered the Airport facility by presenting your credit card (or AVI device) and did not receive a ticket, the same credit card (or AVI device) is accepted by the exit verifier device; or
  • (j) If you have misplaced the parking ticket issued to you on entry or do not have the same credit card that was used to enter the Facility, you must pay a “lost ticket” fee. If you have entered a Facility and are exiting on the same day, a lost ticket fee will be charged beginning at midnight until the time of exit based on the prevailing gate rates.
  • (k) Failure to adhere to the instructions above will result in the requirement to pay the applicable posted rate for your use of the Facility at the time of exit.

 

4. Online Booking System

The Airport provides an online booking system by which you may book a parking space at any of our owned and operated Airport facilities (“Booking”). The Airport neither guarantee that the online booking system and any parking products and services will be available at any times via the Online Booking System nor does it guarantee a specific parking space.

When you have submitted a request using the online booking form on the Airport’s website, you will receive an email confirmation of your booking and a receipt of payment. Your booking is not complete until such time as the booking confirmation and receipt of payment are received.

The Airport reserves the right to limit the number of bookings per person and per Facility or the number of Airport spaces available for booking via the online booking system.

5. No Resale or Transfer of Online Booking

At any time, you will not, and will not attempt to, resell or market any Airport Booking, whether on its own or bundled with other products or services without the Airport’s express written consent. Resell of online Booking would result in the cancellation of the online Booking without refund.

At any time, your booking is non-transferable, both between individuals and between parking products and services. Your booking will be valid only for the times, dates, price, parking products and services, terminal and Airport specified in your booking confirmation notification.

6. Online Booking Purchase Price and Payment

The purchase price quoted by the online booking system is fixed only when you complete your Booking. Until Booking is completed, quoted prices may vary depending on time of Booking and availability.

The purchase price quoted by the online booking system does not include any overstays (time in excess of the time purchased online in advance). For overstays, you will be charged at the Airport’s current posted parking rates.

All prices shown are in U.S. dollars and include applicable sales tax.

When you provide your credit card details to complete your online Booking, you are authorizing the Airport to charge your credit card in the amount of the quoted purchase price.

7. Discounts and Promotions

The Airport may, from time to time, offer discounted or promotional rates for use of its Facilities. These discounts or promotions may be subject to additional limitations and terms and conditions as advised at the time of booking. All such discounts and promotions are subject to limited availability depending on availability and demand of Airport spaces, and the Airport reserves the right to add or remove Airport spaces to or from the promotion, or to vary, amend or cancel promotional rates at any time without notice.

Not all discounts or promotions will be available via the online booking system. Conversely some promotions may be exclusive to the online booking system.

8. Online Booking Period & Airport Facilities

All Bookings may be bought or changed up to 24 hours in advance of the booking period specified on the booking.

We are not responsible for flight changes or cancelations.

If your vehicle is parked for any time outside the Booking Period (e.g. if you arrive early or leave late) you will be charged for the time outside of the Booking Period at the Airport’s current posted parking rates. These rates may vary from the rates quoted by the online booking system.

9. Large vehicles

Airport parking utilizes standard size parking spaces. Facilities have varied clearance heights. Airport parking is unable to accommodate oversized or high-profile vehicles.

10. Arrival and Exit at the Airport Facility with an Online Booking

The Airport does not issue its standard ticket at the parking entry gate if you are entering with an online Booking. Your license plate will be read by a camera at entrance. Alternatively, you will receive a Quick Response (QR) code at the time of the online Booking to use at the device bar code reader located at the parking entry gate. When you arrive at the appropriate Facility, your license plate will be read. If for some reason the license plate cannot be read, you must present the QR Code provided with your booking receipt to the entry device. When exiting the Facility, you must use the same license plate or QR Code that was used upon entry.

You are responsible for ensuring you arrive at the Facility designated on your booking.

There is a two (2) hour grace period for entry before your online Booking scheduled entry time. If you arrive before this entry grace period, you will be charged the length of the stay before the grace period at the Airport’s current posted parking rates (these rates may vary from the rates quoted via the online booking system) and you will not be entitled to a refund or credit on those charges.

11. Online Booking and Airport Capacity

In the extremely unlikely event that the Airport facility you have booked has been closed and we cannot locate a space in that facility, the Airport will issue a full refund of your online Booking charges and locate an alternative parking space for you.

12. Online Booking Cancellations, Changes and Refunds

Your ability to make cancellations, changes, and to receive a refund may vary depending on the type of your booking. Cancellations and amendments may be made to your booking by clicking “Manage My Booking” and selecting the relevant options.

You may cancel your booking at any time up to one hour before the beginning of the booking period (your booking arrival time) and receive a full refund. There will be no refunds for changes made less than 1 hour before the beginning of the Booking Period (your Booking arrival time).

When changing a Booking and the purchase price for the new requested Booking Period or product exceeds the purchase price for the original Booking, you will be required to pay the difference between these amounts. When the purchase price for the new requested Booking Period or product is less than the purchase price for the original Booking, you will be refunded the difference between these amounts.

From time to time, the Airport may offer special promotional parking rates. These rates are based on a specific set of arrival and departure times. Bookings at these rates can be cancelled as described above, but cannot be changed. If cancelled, you can make a new booking at the Airport rates then currently available.

13. Privacy

In order to process an online Booking, the Airport will collect and store personal information including your name, address, phone number, email, and license plate number. Your use of the Airport online booking system or Facility or both indicates your consent to this process.

As part of this process, you also will receive updates, promotional offers, and other marketing communications from us.

We want you to have control over your preferences. Therefore, you can opt out of these marketing communications at any time. To unsubscribe, simply following the instructions provided in any of our emails or contact us at Parking Customer Service, 1 Main Toll Plaza, Philadelphia, PA, 19153.

The Airport is subject to the public records requirements of Pennsylvania and may be required to release information it holds about you upon request unless an exception applies. Appropriate technology and security policies, rules, and measures will be implemented to protect the personal information that the Airport has under its control from unauthorized access, improper use, alteration, unlawful or accidental destruction, and accidental loss.

14. Indemnity

You shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Airport and the City of Philadelphia and their officers, employees and agents from and against any and all losses, costs (including, but not limited to, litigation and settlement costs and counsel fees and expenses), claims, suits, actions, damages, liability and expenses, occasioned wholly or in part by your act or omission or negligence or fault or the act or omission or negligence or fault of your agents, subcontractors, independent contractors, suppliers, invitees, guests, employees, or servants in connection with this Terms and Conditions, the use of the Online Booking System, and the use of the Facility, including, but not limited to, those in connection with loss of life, bodily injury, personal injury, damage to property, contamination or adverse effects on the environment, intentional acts, any breach of this Terms and Conditions, loss of data, data security breach, and any infringement or violation of any proprietary right (including, but not limited to, patent, copyright, trademark, service mark and trade secret).

Nothing herein shall waive or amend any defense or immunity that the City, its officers, agents or employees may have under the PA Political Subdivision Tort Claims Act, 42 Pa.C.S.A. 8541 et. seq.

15. Limitation of Liability

The Airport and the City of Philadelphia and their partners, principles, and employees’ total liability to you will be limited to a refund of the purchase price of the Booking for any actions, damages, claims, liabilities, costs, expenses, or losses in any way arising out of or relating to the use of this Terms and Conditions, the use of the Online Booking System, and the use of the Facility.

In no event shall the Airport and the City of Philadelphia and their partners, principles, and employees be liable for consequential, special, indirect, incidental, punitive, or exemplary damages, costs, expenses or losses (including without limitation, lost profits and opportunity costs). The provisions of this paragraph shall apply regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, statute, tort (including without limitation, negligence) or otherwise.

Nothing herein shall waive or amend any defense or immunity that the City, its officers, agents or employees may have under the PA Political Subdivision Tort Claims Act, 42 Pa.C.S.A. 8541 et. seq.

Safety and Security

You must:

 

  • (a) Comply with all laws and other requirements relating to safety and security.
  • (b) Comply with all parking signs, no parking zones, and directions issued to you by the Airport.
  • (c) Drive carefully and responsibly at all Facilities.
  • (d) Not cause any obstructions, including parking across or occupying more than one parking space.
  • (e) Not park in a designated handicap parking space without displaying a current handicap license plate or permit.
  • (f) Obey all directional and safety signs.
  • (g) When you have parked your vehicle, it is your responsibility to lock and fully secure Your vehicle.
  • (h) Park only in designated public parking spaces and not park in any area which is not designated as public parking.

 

The Airport may issue citations for violations of Ordinances or other applicable laws, rules, regulations for any parked vehicles within our Facilities.

The Airport, our agents or its representatives may enter, move or tow away your vehicle for operational, safety or security reasons.

The Airport will not be held responsible for any loss or damage, including, but not limited to accidents or vandalism, whatsoever occurring to your vehicle or any possessions within your vehicle resulting from your use of the Facility at the Airport. Any damage to or theft from your vehicle that occurs during your stay at the Facility must be reported to the parking operator before exiting the Facility. Failure to do so will cause any resulting claim to be considered waived.
